Christ’s Authorized Agents

Sleeping through the Squall

Mark gives testimony of Jesus calming the sea to the astonishment of the disciples. I. Jesus can sleep through a squall (v. 35-37) II. Jesus speaks and the earth obeys (v. 38-39) III. Jesus provokes awe and wonder (v. 40-41)

The Nature of The Kingdom

Mark presents three of Jesus’ parables which together teach about the nature and growth of the kingdom. You don’t put a lamp under a basket (v. 21-25) You don’t watch plants grow (v. 26-29) You don’t judge a plant’s potential by the size of its seed (v. 30-34)
